You just calculated your BMI and want to show a friend, your gym group or your followers. The usual way is messy: take a screenshot, crop out the browser bar, hide the ads, then post it. Numrexo now does that for you. Every result can be turned into a clean, branded image card and shared on WhatsApp, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn or Telegram in a couple of taps.
In this guide we'll walk through it step by step using the BMI Calculator.
What is the "Share result as image" feature?
When any Numrexo calculator shows your result, you'll see a Share button inside the result box. Tap it and Numrexo builds a neat image of your result — the number, what it means, and the calculator name — ready to post.
You can pick between two sizes:
| Format | Size | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Story | 1080 x 1920 px | Instagram Stories, WhatsApp Status, Facebook Stories |
| Square | 1080 x 1080 px | Instagram feed, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp chats |
No cropping, no browser clutter, no blurry phone screenshots.
Step 1: Calculate your BMI
Open the BMI Calculator and enter your height and weight. Numrexo sets the units for your country automatically — feet/inches and pounds in the US, centimeters and kilograms in most other countries — and you can switch them anytime.
For this example we'll use:
- Height: 5 ft 9 in
- Weight: 165 lb Numrexo calculates:
BMI = 703 × 165 ÷ (69 × 69) = 115,995 ÷ 4,761 = 24.4
A BMI of 24.4 falls in the Healthy weight range (18.5 – 24.9).

Step 2: Tap "Share" in the result box
Right under your result you'll see three options: Share, Download PDF and Email me this result. Tap Share.

Step 3: Choose Story or Square
A preview of your result card opens. Switch between Story and Square to see which looks better for where you're posting.

Step 4: Share it to your favorite app
How the image reaches the app depends on your device:
On a phone (iPhone or Android) Tap Share in the preview. Your phone's share sheet opens with the image already attached. Pick WhatsApp, Instagram, Messages, Telegram or any other app — just like sharing a photo from your gallery.
On a laptop or desktop Tap Download to save the image, then upload it to the platform you want. This is also the way to get it onto Instagram from a computer, because Instagram doesn't allow websites to post directly.

Quick reference by platform
| Platform | On phone | On desktop |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp (chat or Status) | Share sheet → WhatsApp | Download → attach in WhatsApp Web |
| Instagram (Story or Post) | Share sheet → Instagram | Download → upload from the Instagram app |
| X (Twitter) | Share sheet → X | Download → attach to a post |
| Share sheet → Facebook | Download → add to a post | |
| Share sheet → LinkedIn | Download → add to a post | |
| Telegram | Share sheet → Telegram | Download → send as a photo |
Want a link instead of an image?
Every calculator page also has a share row with WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram and Copy link buttons. Use those when you want friends to open the calculator and check their own numbers, rather than see yours.
Need a record, not a post?
Sharing is great for social media, but sometimes you want something to keep:
- Download PDF saves a one-page report with your result, the inputs you used, and the date and time — handy for tracking your BMI month to month.
- Email me this result sends that same PDF to your inbox.
Why share your BMI result?
- Accountability: Posting your starting point in a fitness group makes it easier to stay on track.
- Progress tracking: Share a card at the start and another a few months later to show how far you've come.
- Coaching: Send your result to a trainer or nutrition coach in a format that's easy to read.
- Family health chats: Help parents or friends understand their numbers without walking them through a website.
It works on every Numrexo calculator
BMI is just one example. The same Share button appears on every calculator with a result box — mortgage, loan, compound interest, tip, age, net worth and many more. Calculated a mortgage payment you want to show your partner? Same three taps.
A quick note about BMI
BMI is a simple screening tool based on height and weight. It doesn't measure body fat directly and doesn't account for muscle mass, age, sex or body shape, so athletes and older adults can get misleading numbers. The standard adult ranges are:
| BMI | Category |
|---|---|
| Below 18.5 | Underweight |
| 18.5 – 24.9 | Healthy weight |
| 25.0 – 29.9 | Overweight |
| 30.0 and above | Obesity |
These ranges apply to adults 20 and older. Use your result as a starting point for a conversation with your doctor, not as a diagnosis.
Try it now
Open the BMI Calculator, enter your height and weight, and tap Share to create your first result card. It takes less than a minute.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I share the result of any Numrexo calculator, or only BMI?▾
Any calculator that shows a result box has the Share button — loan, mortgage, tip, age, net worth and more. This guide uses BMI as the example.
Does Numrexo store my BMI or the image I share?▾
The share image is created in your browser from the result on your screen. You decide where it goes; Numrexo does not post anything on your behalf.
Why can't I post straight to Instagram from my laptop?▾
Instagram does not let websites post directly. On a phone, choose Instagram from the share sheet. On a desktop, download the image and upload it from the Instagram app.
What is the difference between the Story and Square formats?▾
Story (1080 x 1920) fills a phone screen and suits Instagram/WhatsApp Status. Square (1080 x 1080) suits feeds, X, Facebook and LinkedIn posts.
Is BMI a diagnosis?▾
No. BMI is a quick screening number. It does not measure body fat directly, so talk to a doctor before making health decisions based on it.
